This summer, you'll find The Rejoicing Vine at three of central Indiana's best farmers markets, including Carmel, Broad Ripple, and Brownsburg, and we couldn't be more excited to meet you there.
At The Rejoicing Vine, wine has always been about more than what's in the glass. It's about cultivating life, sparking joy, and building authentic relationships right here in our community. Farmers markets are one of our favorite expressions of that same philosophy, a place where you can shake hands with the people who grow your food, discover makers who pour their hearts into their craft, and walk away with something genuinely good. If you've followed along with our posts on regenerative agriculture or wine additives, you already know how much we believe in knowing what goes into what you consume. Markets make that easy, and they make our community more resilient too.
Whether you're hunting for seasonal ingredients, building the ultimate charcuterie board, or simply looking for a great Saturday morning, here's everything you need to know before you visit us this season.
Carmel Farmers Market
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Center Green, right in the shadow of the Palladium concert hall, the Carmel Farmers Market is an absolute staple of the summer season. Running every Saturday morning [except July 4th] from May through September. The market opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 11:30 AM. With over eighty local vendors, you will only find everything you need, all produced right here in Indiana.
When we'll be there: We'll be there weekly until My Dad's Sweet Corn is ready (early July?). After that we'll be there sporadically, if this is your market we recommend subscribing to our newsletter and/or following us on Facebook or Instagram.
What to Expect:Â The atmosphere here is lively, scenic, and family-friendly. You can expect to find an abundance of fresh, seasonal produce, high-quality meats, farm-fresh eggs, and artisanal cheeses. Live music plays from the Carmel Rotary Amphitheater, making it a fantastic place to grab breakfast or a coffee while you shop.Â
Parking: Abundant and convenient parking is available in the Tarkington Garage just south of Center Green.
Broad Ripple Farmers Market
As the largest farmers market in Indiana, the Broad Ripple Farmers Market brings an incredible energy to Saturday mornings. During the outdoor summer season (May through October), the market operates from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and is at the Glendale Town Center at 6001 N. Rural Street behind the Lowe's.
When we'll be there:Â We'll be at the Broad Ripple market on the 2nd and the 4th Saturday of every month.
What to Expect:Â This market is incredibly vibrant, featuring over 80 vendors during the summer months. It is heavily focused on sustainable and environmentally responsible farming, and always features fantastic live musical guests. You can browse a massive variety of goods ranging from organic vegetables and fresh-cut flowers to baked pastries and craft kombucha.Â
Parking: Lots of parking just north of the market with additional overflow parking near the Target. Check out the parking map for more details.
Brownsburg Farmers Market
Starting in June, you can also find us on Thursday evenings at the Brownsburg Farmers Market. Located at the Town Hall Green in Downtown Brownsburg (61 N. Green St.), this market runs from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and is the perfect midweek pick-me-up.
When we'll be there:Â We'll be at the Brownsburg market weekly.
What to Expect: This evening market brings a fantastic, community-focused energy to Thursdays, complete with food trucks, artisan goods, and regular themed nights. With live music setting a relaxing tone—a perfect complement to the artist events we love to feature—it’s an amazing place to unwind after a long day.Â
Other Indiana Farmers Markets
While we are currently only attending the Broad Ripple, Brownsburg, and Carmel farmers markets they're by no means the only ones and we'd absolutely encourage you to find a market that's convenient for you.

Pro Tips
As seasoned farmer's market folk, we've pulled together a short list of pro-tips for anyone new to attending markets. Purdue University also has a nice publication that includes not only tips but also a general harvest calendar that can help you know when to expect certain produce to be available at markets.
Tip 1: CREATE THE ULTIMATE LOCAL PAIRINGS. Stop by our booth to pick up a bottle of our artisan wine, then stroll over to the Tulip Tree Creamery's booth to get the perfect pairing for your wine. Want a pairing that will blow your mind? Grab a bottle of our Regenerative Rose or Bubblicious, a block of Trillium cheese, and some strawberry jam from Sun to Spoon.
Tip 2: Bring your own reusable shopping bags and/or portable cart if you plan to stock your fridge.
Tip 3: Walk the whole market to get an idea of what's available. Also consider, following the markets on social media and visiting their websites to get the latest information and vendor information.
Tip 4: Be inquisitive. Talk to the vendors. Ask questions about their growing practices.
Tip 5: Consider bringing cash. While we accept card payments, there are some vendors at the markets that only take cash.
Tip 6: Leave the fur babies at home. Many markets, like Carmel and Broad Ripple do not allow pets. Even if a market does allow pets you may still consider leaving them at home because markets are full of people, yummy food, and lots of distractions.
Making an Impact - Wine Sampling at Farmers Markets
We are here to make a positive impact. Did you know we were instramental in a fighting for an update to legislation that allowed farm wineries to sample wine at farmers market? Yep! With the help of the Indiana Winery & Vineyard Association (where I serve as a board member), we were able to update the laws to enable wineries to serve up to three 1 oz samples at farmers markets. Check out the story Alex Brown wrote for Inside Indiana Business wrote last year on the topic.
