Light. Bright. Brainy.

🌿 Why We’re Pouring This One
Say hello to Boiler Blush—our fresh, dry rosé made from grapes grown at Purdue University’s research farm. This wine is as purposeful as it is pretty, blending cutting-edge grape science with a graceful sip that’s perfect for summer.
Crafted from Indiana-grown hybrid varieties, Boiler Blush is a tribute to Indiana terroir, agricultural innovation, and the unexpected brilliance of a blush that came from brains and beauty.
✨ What’s in the Glass?
This is a dry, light-bodied rosé with a crisp backbone and delicate aromatics. It’s refreshing without being too simple—each sip offers layers of fruit, floral, and just a kiss of creaminess.
Tasting notes: raspberry, Bing cherry, hibiscus, and a whisper of vanilla
Aromas: fresh berries, soft florals, and orchard air after a rain
Finish: dry, clean, and bright with subtle elegance
Pair it with a sunny porch, a cheese board, or grilled veggies and balsamic.
🧠 NERD ALERT! Things are about to get delightfully dorky.
Side effects may include: wine geek pride and knowing what the word “hybrid” actually means.
So what exactly makes Boiler Blush so special? It’s made from hybrid grape varieties—grapes developed to thrive in challenging climates like Indiana’s. For this special blend we used Petite Pearl, Crimson Pearl, Frontenac Blanc, & Frontenac Gris.
Traditionally wine has been made from European grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, or Cabernet Sauvignon to name a few. European varieties make phenomenal wine but they have two major drawbacks when it comes to sustainability - they don't survive cold winters and they're highly susceptible to North American grapevine pests and diseases.
To solve those issues scientists and grape breeders have been cross pollinating European varieties with North American varieties to breed new varieties we in the industry refer to as "Hybrids". Unlike European grapes, these hybrids are more disease-resistant, cold-hardy, and better suited for sustainable farming.
And Purdue? They’ve been growing & testing these varieties right here in Indiana. Boiler Blush is built from their work—and it shows. You get all the flavor, none of the fuss, and a wine that’s literally rooted in innovation.
🌿 Why It Matters
Boiler Blush is more than a rosé—it’s a celebration of local agriculture, university-driven research, and the future of sustainable winemaking in the Midwest. At The Rejoicing Vine, we believe in partnerships that elevate our land, our community, and our glass. This wine does all three.
When you sip Boiler Blush, you’re tasting what happens when bold ideas meet good earth—and turn pink.
