During the class, guests will embark on a guided wine and cheese tasting led by our head winemaker and co-owner, Brent Kumfer. Together, you’ll explore five handcrafted wines—each thoughtfully paired with grass-fed, local cheeses from Tulip Tree Creamery, one of Indianapolis’s most celebrated creameries.

Each pairing is designed to teach you the science and art behind how wine and cheese complement one another—from acidity and texture to aroma and flavor balance. You’ll leave with not only a happy palate but also the knowledge to recreate your own perfect pairings at home.

Brent Kumfer, co-owner and head vintner of The Rejoicing Vine Winery, brings both passion and expertise to every class. With over a decade of winemaking experience and formal education from the University of California, Davis (world renowned for it's wine education programs), Brent combines technical mastery with a spirit of creativity and curiosity. His goal? To make every guest feel welcome, inspired, and empowered to enjoy wine in new ways.
