Website Accessibility at The Rejoicing Vine

We want everyone to be able to explore our offerings and website, plan a visit, and shop with us, whatever their abilities and however they use the web.

 

Our Goal

We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the current version of the standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

 

What We're Doing

Our site is built on the Wix website builder platform. We regularly check the design with Wix's accessibility tool and work to fix the issues it finds. That tool currently checks against an earlier version of the guidelines (WCAG 2.0 Level AA), and automated checks can't catch every barrier. To cover the gap, we also review pages ourselves, with attention to image descriptions, color contrast, readable text, button and link sizes, and keyboard navigation.

 

Known Limitations

We know our site isn't perfect yet. We control our own content and design, but some underlying features are set by Wix and we can't always change them. Wine shipping orders are processed through the Vinoshipper.com platform, a separate website we don't operate or design.
